Byrdie’s is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community ceramics studio in New Orleans.

Located in the Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans since 2010, Byrdie’s is a place for the community to explore clay arts. We offer classes, membership, and a storefront shop for members to sell their pottery.

Join Us for Second Saturday 11/9 featuring ceramic art by Eve Abrams

Famed ecologist E.O. Wilson described insects as, “the little things that run the world.” These astonishing animals create healthy soil, pollinate our crops and flowers, control pests, and are the main diet of countless birds, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals.

We can be good stewards of precious objects as well as good neighbors to our plant and animal kin. Both require presence and intention. Both call for careful touch by the human hand.

Classes

We offer a variety of classes in our new space - from single “try it” sessions to 8-week offerings, there is be something for just about everyone.
