"Try It!" Wheelthrowing with Lauren: Friday, May 23, 5-7pm (single session)
Come try the pottery wheel in this single session “try it” wheelthrowing class! Students will learn the basics of centering and throwing to create cylinders. Materials and kiln firing of one finished piece included. Instructor will glaze/fire one item per participant with a color of your choice. Any additional pieces you’d like glaze/fired are $5/per item, paid directly to the instructor at the completion of class.
Glaze fired pieces will be ready to pick up roughly 4 weeks after the final class. The instructor will email you when work is ready for pickup, and student Pieces MUST be picked up within four weeks of the instructor’s email. Unclaimed pieces will be considered “donated” to Byrdie’s!
WE DO NOT OFFER MAKEUP CLASSES.
Current Covid Policy:
If someone in class tests positive, they must notify their teacher. We will then take appropriate action based on the current best practices to prevent the spread of COVID19. As of the date of this posting, if a student tests positive and the rest of the class has been exposed, then the positive student must follow current CDC guidelines and the rest of the students must have proof of a negative test result before returning to class.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations prior to 5 days before class start will receive a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 5 days before class start will receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds within 24 hours of class.
BIPOC Fellowship Registration:
We reserve 2 spots in each class for BIPOC Fellowship registration - this registration is for folks who identify as Black, Indigenous, &/or a Person of Color. If you are BIPOC and the 2 Fellowship spots are already full, you are welcome to sign up at the general registration rate.
